Hats off to Lysander, the 10U Gold Central Section Hats off to Lysander, the 10U Gold Central Section Tournament Champions! In round-robin play, Lysander went a perfect 3-0 with a +11 goal differential. They erased a 1 goal deficit in the semifinals to beat Valley, 2-1. In the championship game against Southern Tier/Binghamton Freeze, Lysander took an early lead in the first period with a power play goal, but Binghamton tied it back up about a minute later. Then, Binghamton took the lead and Lysander tied it back up about a minute later. Defense took over for most of the second period, but Lysander found the back of the net in the last minute of the period. With less than five minutes left in the game, Lysander was able to secure their lead and the championship with a fourth goal.
